Who is behind VitaLincs™?
VitaLincs was created by Ed Faruolo who is known for creating distinctive brands that connect and resonate with the marketplace while influencing a culture of ownership and advocacy within the business. Ed prides himself in thinking his way around obstacles and competitors with larger budgets and greater visibility. He likes nothing more than the challenge of “the underdog” and takes great pride in outmaneuvering those who over-invest in conventional thinking.
Ed has honed these skills at several blue chip corporations and prestigious advertising agencies:
• At Lincoln Financial, Ed served as Vice President of Brand Development where he drove development of the company’s external brand (Futureself®) while generating alignment, integration, and ownership through key customer touchpoints and stakeholders (marketing, sales, and service operations).
• At CIGNA, Ed served as Vice President of Brand Strategy and Integration (as well as Corporate Chief Marketing Officer) where he led the strategic development and worldwide brand transformation program that established the company as a tier one brand in the health and benefits category (including Tree of Life identity and A Business of Caring brand platform). He extended that brand through strong thought leadership programs and strategic alliances putting CIGNA in the forefront of major health issues impacting society and business.
• At The Travelers, Ed repositioned the brand as a diversified financial services enterprise through the You’re Better Off Under The Umbrella theme. The program was a critical factor in attracting the acquisition of Travelers by Citigroup.
• Ed has also held significant client management responsibilities on the ad agency side serving prestigious clients such as Schering-Plough (Coppertone Sun Care and St. Joseph’s Children’s Medicine) and Joseph E. Seagram brands.
He also served as Executive Chair of the Conference Board’s Corporate Brand Council from 2002 to 2006.
